Season 15 moves quickly once your build has the right Legendary Aspects. The jump from level 70 into Torment can feel rough, especially when your gear still has awkward gaps. A good early plan is to combine boss runs, Helltide rewards, and focused crafting rather than waiting for random drops. You will notice the difference within a few runs, and a few well-chosen D4 items can help smooth out the weakest parts of your setup.
Build Momentum With Lair Bosses
Lair Bosses are a practical starting point because they drop Legendary gear at a steady pace. Torment 1 and Torment 2 are usually the sweet spot while your character is still filling out key slots. Save harder tiers for later, when your damage and defence can handle longer fights. You do not need perfect drops here. You need useful powers, salvage materials, and enough upgrades to keep moving.
| Activity | Best early use | Main reward | | Lair Bosses | Fast runs on low Torment | Legendary equipment and Aspects | | Helltide | Open Tortured Gifts | Keys, materials, and extra loot | | Purveyor | Spend Obols on weak slots | Base items for focused upgrades | | Jeweler | Craft jewelry caches | Ring and amulet Aspects |
Turn Helltide Into Extra Boss Loot
War Plans can make your Helltide runs much more rewarding. Put points into the Lair Boss Activity Tree and unlock Grigoire's Gambit as soon as it fits your route. With the node active, opening Tortured Gifts may call in Grigoire's Knights. These enemies can drop rewards from Grigoire's pool, so you gain extra Legendary gear without using another Lair Key.
Open several Tortured Gifts during one Helltide.
Keep spare inventory space for fast sorting.
Collect every Lair Key that drops from chests.
Use the extra materials on short boss sessions.
Use Focused Crafting Instead of Waiting
Obols from Nightmare Dungeons and world events are especially useful when one gear slot refuses to improve. The Purveyor can supply base items for that slot, while the Horadric Cube can turn a suitable rare item into a Legendary with Pure Primordial Dust. Gloves and one-handed weapons are useful choices when your build needs offensive powers. For resource management, a Resourceful Tuning Prism on a ring points the result towards a resource-based Aspect.
Finish Jewelry Through the Jeweler
Mercenary rapport adds another steady source of gear. Once Raheir, Subo, Aldkin, or Varyana reaches rank 10, their caches become worth checking with Pale Marks. Utility Aspect Caches can fill small gaps, while Boss Summoning Caches help keep your farming route active. For rings and amulets, run Worldstone Keep, defeat the Ancients, and salvage the Royal Gems. The resulting Gem Fragments can fund jewelry caches at the Jeweler, giving you a sensible way to finish the build with cheap D4 items supporting the remaining gear slots.
